This privacy statement explains how Mediasecure handles personal information provided through this website. All personal data we collect is treated as strictly confidential and will never be lent, leased, sold, or otherwise made public. We handle any information you provide us with the utmost care.

1. The Collection of Personal Data

You can browse this website without providing any personally identifiable information. In some cases you may choose to provide such information yourself — for example, when requesting further information from us. We do not use this information for any purpose other than the one for which it was provided, on the legal basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry), as applicable.

2. Infrastructure & Data Sovereignty

This website runs on our own enterprise infrastructure. We act as an independent network operator and use no external cloud services, shared hosting platforms, or CDNs. No data is transmitted to third parties (e.g. Google, Facebook, trackers), and no data leaves the European Union.

3. Server Log Files

Our web server automatically processes certain technical information transmitted by your browser when you visit a page. The IP address is truncated at the web server level (the last segment is removed) before being written to the server log files — a full IP address is never stored. We collect: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, the truncated and anonymized IP address, and the time of the server request.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in technical security and error analysis). This data is not combined with any other data source and is automatically and irrevocably deleted after 72 hours at the latest.

4. Cookies & Analytics

This website uses no cookies and no analytics tools of any kind.

5. Getting in Touch

If you contact us by email, we store your details in order to process your request and to answer any follow-up questions, on the legal basis of Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not pass on this data without your consent. We retain this correspondence only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, and delete it no later than 12 months after our last contact, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right, at any time and free of charge, to information about the personal data we hold about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of its processing. You also have the right to rectification, restriction, or erasure of this data, and the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR) and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You further have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — for us, the competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI Baden-Württemberg). 7. Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. To put this into practice, Mediasecure has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures. We maintain security policies, rules, and safeguards for the personal data we manage, to protect it against:

• Unauthorized access
• Improper use or disclosure
• Unauthorized alteration
• Unjustified destruction or accidental loss

We will not share your personal information with anyone, including government agencies and authorities, unless required by law, necessary to enforce our Acceptable Usage Policy, or necessary to protect our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
